Position Overview A Polysomnography Technician, under direct supervision of a Polysomnography Technologist, the Polysomnography Coordinator, and Sleep Disorder Centre/HVADS Manager (indirect reporting relationship to Sleep Disorder Centre Medical Director): Performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and research Polysomnography studies and related therapies. Performs routine equipment care and maintenance; conducts routine inventory of supplies Participates in the day-to-day operations of the Sleep Disorder Centre. Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues. Experience Practical experience using polysomnography equipment, electro-encephalography, electrooculography, electromyography, respiratory monitoring and electrocardiography required. Practical experience using respiratory equipment in the treatment of sleep apnea is also required. Basic computer skills/knowledge is required. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) A minimum of six (6) months’ experience as a Polysomnography Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies (Phase I and Phase II checklists) or successful completion of a polysomnography training program. .
