We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Social Work Resource Assistant , on a 3-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Summary: This post is required to provide support to Social Workers and Managers across Adult Services. This will require working within current legislation and following Council policies, procedures and practice Responsibilities: To contact service users or their representatives to notify them of new care packages starting To contact service users or their representatives to complete 4 weekly phone reviews following changes to care packages. To complete relevant forms and tasks on the Carefirst database and make recommendations to allocated Social Worker following completion of reviews. To assist with the incoming calls from service users or their representatives as part of the duty process signposting and/or passing on relevant information to social workers. To support teams and managers with updating, maintaining social work pending /allocation lists and provide statistical information as required Experience: Experience of dealing with the public Experience of Microsoft Office including excel and outlook Experience of working to Legislative / Corporate procedures, processes and guidelines Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
