Your opportunity: The Office of the Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer provides financial expertise to senior leaders required to support the achievement of the Faculty’s strategic goals and objectives. Comprised of an accomplished team of strategic-minded specialists, the office serves as a hub between departments and the University’s central financial portfolios, provides support, guidance and training to departments on financial matters, and oversees revenue sharing distributions. As Senior Financial Analyst, you will perform a broad range of duties in support of Faculty planning, reporting and financial management, and liaise with a range of clients and external parties to resolve issues and provide guidance and advice. You will also contribute to a number of strategic finance projects aimed at translating complex financial analysis into actionable insights for Faculty-wide space planning, budget planning, enrolment planning and financial forecast purposes. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and preparing complex financial models, analyses and schedules to facilitate financial control and inform senior management in decision making and long-term planning Providing advice and data to support the development of business cases and analytics for department initiatives Analyzing and making recommendations for financial management and accounting process improvements, including budget allocations.
