Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs specialized planning, data collection and analysis, and project development tasks; assists in the development and preparation of data projects and professional development events for Education Programs. The work is normally reviewed upon completion, with occasional spot checks while in process, to ensure accuracy, timeliness and conformance to established standards; major work tasks are covered by instructions or procedures and unusual situations are referred to a supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Depending on area of assignment, incumbent may not be required to perform some of the duties listed below.) : Performs specialized planning, community development and project development tasks. Provides project management support within established timelines; plans, develops, implements and evaluates projects. Plans and coordinates project activities; communicates with project members; contributes to planning and project decision making. Disseminates project information, performs a variety of tasks. Design, direct, and conduct the department's compliance with reporting and usage related to management systems such as the Student Information System (SIS) platform. Develop, maintain, and monitor processes and activities using data base system tools such as the SIS. Maintain accurate documentation regarding functions, operating procedures, and the dissemination of updates to users, using management systems. Lead the design, installation, testing and implementation of solutions needed for access, applications, and security issues related to management systems. Responsible for data archival procedures and implementation of restores. Manages and maintains systems for collecting data and records by establishing indexing standards; amends and develops new standards as appropriate. Provide a variety of technical and support services including data entry, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data. Coordinate the input of data from outside vendors (pictures, state test scores, etc.) into the management systems. Performs other job related duties as assigned and contributes to a team effort. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the Tohono O'odham culture, customs, and traditions. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, tribal laws, regulations and requirements. Knowledge in planning, management and delivery of projects. Knowledge of database development, statistical analysis, and reporting of data for evaluation process. Knowledge of quality management for process improvement and development of new processes. Knowledge of project planning and business research. Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs. Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations. Skill in providing superior customer service to external and internal customers. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Ability to maintain privileged confidential information. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines. Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to travel within the interior/exterior boundaries of the Tohono O'odham Nation. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Project Management or Information Systems and 3 years' work experience in planning, implementing, managing projects, data collection, database systems support, or equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position. Licenses, Certifications, Special Requirements: Upon recommendation for hire, a criminal background and National FBI check is required to determine suitability for hire, including a 39-month Motor Vehicle Record. May require possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license, (no DUIs or major traffic citations within the last three years). If required, must meet the Tohono O'odham Nation tribal employer's insurance requirements to receive a driver's permit to operate program vehicles. Based on the department's needs, incumbents may be required to demonstrate fluency in both the Tohono O'odham Language and English as a condition of employment.
