This is a part-time position (Friday & Saturday) with flexible hours and potential to become full-time. The Equine Therapist provides equine-assisted mental health/counseling services to clients. Rewards : $1000 Employment bonus - paid within 60 days of employment Flexible schedule 401(k) with employer match, upon eligibility Requirements : Ohio license in Social Work (LSW) or Counseling (LPC) required, in addition to the education required to obtain each license (Bachelors or Masters in Social Work | Masters in Counseling). 5+ years of experience working with and riding horses, including a fundamental understanding of behaviors and psyche of horses, includi ng, but not limited to grooming, saddle and riding in the Western and/or English discipline(s). General understanding of barn management and general equine health is strongly preferred. Natural Lifemanship certification preferred. Must be physically able to ride and handle horses weighing between 900-XXXX pounds. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and more, on occasion. Responsibilities : Adhere to CCHO's statement of faith and code of conduct. Treat others with Christ-like attitude, while helping them experience their worth in Christ, and demonstrating behaviors reflecting CCHO's core values of Relentless Commitment, Selflessness, and Kindness. TEAM first. Provide equine-assisted and non-equine-assisted mental health services in individual or group settings. Facilitate mental health assessments, providing accurate diagnoses. Complete treatment plans in collaboration with client. Submit all clinical documentation, notes, and paperwork according to agency standards/requirements - typically, no less than weekly. Participate in peer review and other quality-improvement activities, such as supervision. Ensures personal productivity/expectations standards are met.
