In the context of a large-scale deployment of an Export Control program in Airbus, we are now extending our audit coverage with the creation of a dedicated Export Control Audit capability. We are therefore looking for a Corporate Auditor Export Control based in the US to be part of a transnational team. This is a remote position with between 40-50% domestic and international travel and must be located in the Central or Eastern time zones. Successful candidates will contribute to the Airbus-wide scope of Corporate Audit & Forensic (all Divisions, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) with a focus on auditing Export Control compliance, governance and the implementation of recommendations from stakeholders, as well as assessing the effectiveness of related internal control processes. You will thus be working with management at all levels on complex audits. You will be required to apply business experience, judgement and persistence to provide added value for the business and objective risk based reviews for Airbus. We are looking for a committed and passionate individual who is up for a new challenge in supporting Airbus. Primary Responsibilities: Engage with the Export Control teams in Airbus Commercial aircraft and the Airbus divisions Helicopters, Defence & Space to undertake audits of Export Control processes worldwide. Deliver structured, objective assessments in English of complex situations and processes based on evidence, detailed analysis, and clear reporting that will guide senior management action Participate in the elaboration of the scope and objectives of audits with management Implement and further build the Export Control audit framework for Airbus Provide input and challenge during the identification of key business risks by the business and in discussions with senior management through the application of in-depth knowledge and experience of the practical issues facing the business. Assess audit findings and develop practical and acceptable recommendations Assist in feedback meetings with operational management to discuss findings, develop recommendations and achieve customer acceptance for implementation Track implementation and completion of adequate corrective actions Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Master's degree preferred Experience: 8+ years of experience related to Export Control Compliance in ITAR and EAR 10+ years of Export Control Compliance experience strongly preferred Prior audit experience strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Strong operational knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, Customs regulations and other applicable domestic and international trade law regulations, supply chain operations, and the global trade network Strong analytical skills and ability to lead cross-functional groups and work in a team environment Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Strong communication skills and excellent verbal and writing skills to professionally communicate with diverse stakeholders. Commercially fluent in English; fluency in French and German is considered a plus.
