Position: Information Security Analyst (INFOSEC) Location: Alexandria, VA Overview: Will support the overall assessment, design, controls, and compliance of cyber security functions to mitigate risk related to sensitive data and information for a government contract. Requirements: 5+ years' experience analyzing and / or performing Information Security or Information Assurance activities for hardware, software tools, applications, or IT-related infrastructure CompTIA Security+ or higher certification DoD Secret clearance Preferred: Four-year degree in Information Technology or related field Demonstrated experience of knowledge with: Network management and vulnerability assessments Design of technical security protocols and practices Firewall configuration based on Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) Database principles, security architectures and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Department of Defense Information Assurance regulations "Authorization to operate" (ATO) and "risk management framework" (RMF) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) SPLUNK dashboards Duties/Responsibilities: Provide Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan reports to system administrators Provide eMASS system reports and work to resolve issues Manage user account logon exceptions Update and close information assurance tasks for new and departing users Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checks on servers Provide data spill reporting About Group W: Group W is a 100% employee-owned company that hires great people to provide analysis, modeling, simulation, wargaming, and research, for visionary clients in government, commercial, and non-governmental entities.
