Our team is seeking Aero/Thermal engineers to provide aerodynamic, aerothermal and other design to assist in developing hypersonic thermal protection systems, advanced manufacturing methods, and advanced material development. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage aerothermal analysis and testing efforts relating to hypersonic and high speed vehicle design Provide aerothermal engineering expertise to a wide range of systems including hypersonic flight vehicles, tactical weapons systems, and seeker window designs Utilize test data and modeling and simulation tools to predict and measure high temperature material physics such as recession, char, and pyrolysis gases effects. Generate aerothermal loads database for structural design and use modeling and simulation tools to perform thermo-structural analysis Perform technology development in the areas of hypersonic aerothermodynamics, aerodynamics, boundary layer transition to support flight system design Develop test methods and application of advanced aerospace material systems such as high temperature composites and ceramic matrix composites Hands-on manufacturing process development, including tools or fixtures required to manufacture, integrate, and inspect flight and ground test hardware Apply aerothermal engineering best practices to existing applications and new developments including test-driven development activities. Develop written reports, briefings and other documentation to present to customer POCs Requirements: This position requires a US Citizen with an a ctive Secret security clearance or ability to receive and maintain a clearance BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
