Description:

The primary responsibility of your job position is to assume responsibility for reviewing the Colorado Medicaid applications and redeterminations submitted from Vivage communities, prior to submission to the out-stationed technician located at Vivage and other Counties. Report and review all document submissions, communicating with facility personnel, families, residents to coordinate collection of missing items for completion of the Colorado Medicaid Long Term Care application/redetermination.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Review Medicaid applications/redeterminations for appropriate documentation and accuracy.2. Request corrections and/or missing documentation with timely communication to applicants and facility staff.3. Maintain intake worksheet.4. Review annual COLA 5615's for proper supporting documentation.5. Meet with facility staff and residents/family members as needed.6. Prepare written and oral reports summarizing results of facility training sessions and tracking critical ongoing issues and projects.7. Forward all documents to county technicians in a timely manner.8. On-call availability to assist with questions or problems.9. Train Facility Business Office Managers and other facility Interdisciplinary team members in the Medicaid application process, as assigned.10. Communicate with the Director of Revenue Cycle and Revenue Cycle Managers regarding facility needs, concerns, and financial personnel.11. Public speaking and group training facilitation. 12. Suggest enhancements to policies or procedures that are relevant and unique to facilities.13. Plan, organize, and participate in quarterly BOT meetings with all facility Business Office team members.14. Complete special projects as assigned.15. Travels to communities.16. Perform all other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS1. Must possess, as a minimum, an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (or related field) from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.2. Must maintain a valid, unrestricted Colorado driver's license.3. Must have, as a minimum, three (2) years experience with CO Medicaid application processes.4. Knowledge & Understanding of CO Medicaid Long Term Care program eligibility as well as application/redetermination timelines and regulations.5. Knowledge of county transfer rules.6. Understanding of 5615 rules and processes.7. Schedule and meet with families, residents and facility team members to obtain documentation for applications and redeterminations. May require travel to family/resident private residences.8. Communicate with facility team members on a regular basis.9. Must have ability to meet multiple deadlines in a client-service environment.10. Must have strong time management skills.11. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.12. Must have strong interpersonal client-service skills.13. Must have ability to work independently.14. Must have working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications.15. Must have working knowledge of CO Medicaid regulations.16. Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment.17. Must represent Vivage in professional appearance and communications at all times.18. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.19. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully when personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. 20. Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.21. Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administrative procedures.22. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.23. Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel.24. Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.25. Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
