Cyber Security Engineer

Description:
The Cybersecurity SME will provide a full range of IT and Cyber expertise. In this role you will support a wide variety of projects including working for and with a variety of DoD, Federal, and corporate customers. You will interface with customers on a regular basis to develop project requirements, collaborate and work on integrated teams, and to brief, defend, and support project results. Must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment with a flexible work schedule supporting multiple customers. You will work in close collaboration with senior government customers providing consultation, recommendations, and support. You must have excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues. Essential Functions: Serve as an IT/Cyber subject matter expert working on project teams with other SMEs representing multi-disciplinary skillsets Plan and execute cyber-attack path assessments and mission-based cyber risks assessments Develop RMF Assessment and Authorization strategies and packages for IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems, including DoD Platform IT and Facilitated-related Control Systems Contribute to the development of a variety of technical documents requiring IT best practices and Cyber content Coordinates with internal/external partners to establish system security designs and validates complaints requirements Verify that application software/network/system security postures are implemented as stated, document deviations, and recommend required actions to correct those deviations Develop customer briefings and support meetings Support bid and proposal efforts involving IT/Cyber expertise Qualifications: Active DoD Secret clearance Bachelor's Degree Current DoD (8570) Cybersecurity Workforce IAM Level II or higher Minimum 2 years of experience developing, integrating, and executing IT, Cyber, Information Assurance, and Information Security policy and programs Program Management experience in full spectrum IT project lifecycle Working knowledge of Department of Defense IT and Cybersecurity policies, instructions, directives, and technical guidance, including Cyber Test & Evaluation Familiarity with Chief Information Officer duties and responsibilities Demonstrated knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Experience developing, analyzing, and/or testing Joint security architectures Experience analyzing critical technology protection Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment Excellent writing and oral communication skills Cloud migration and security experience desired Familiarity or experience with DevSecOps and Software Assurance Innovative, with a driven work ethic AEVEX provides a full suite of comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k)-retirement plan, comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance group coverage with a portion of the premiums paid by the company, professional development funds, and an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) with counseling, legal help, child and elder care support, among other benefits.
