What you will be doing: The MRI Technologist provides quality care to patients undergoing MRI procedures. The technologist must demonstrate full knowledge of MRI procedures and equipment. Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post procedure instructions, and verifying patient's identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters. Perform MRI exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information. Document the patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system. Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers. Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies. Our ideal candidate has: Education: Associate degree or Certified Radiologic Technologist Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist with at least 1_ year in MRI. Experience working in Breast Biopsies preferred. Competent in starting IV's required. Licensure/Certification: Board Certified RT (MR) and in good standing with ARRT. Must have CPR/BLS certification. Additional information: Conditions of employment: Annual flu shot, COVID Vaccine, CPR Certification, compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Radiation Dosimeter Badge. Schedule/Shift: 3, 12-hour day shift with rotating weekends. Every other weekend. Shift Differential of $4.00/hour when working a weekend day shift.
