Biomedical Technician - Dialysis

Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Biomedical Technician to join our team at our dialysis clinic. As a Biomedical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the medical equipment used in our dialysis facility, ensuring that our patients receive safe and effective treatment.Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of dialysis machines, water treatment systems, and other medical equipment used in the clinic. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with medical equipment, and provide timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory of spare parts. Collaborate with the clinic team to ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning at optimal levels for patient safety and treatment effectiveness. Provide technical training and support to clinic staff on proper use and maintenance of medical equipment. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dialysis technology and industry standards, and proactively recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Biomedical Technician, preferably in a dialysis or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of dialysis machines, water treatment systems, and related medical equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex technical issues with medical equipment. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to medical equipment maintenance, such as FDA, CMS, and AAMI. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
