PURPOSE : Provide health and wellness education, implement programs and treatments specifically designed to address patient's needs. Focus is on issues that can impact patient of El Centro Family Health such as nutrition, family planning and sexual health, fitness, cancer screenings, vaccination, hygiene and preventing the spread of infectious disease. May perform community outreach by visiting schools, nursing homes, and workplaces. REQUIREMENTS Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience No experience required. Certification: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS), Must be obtained withing 3 months of hire. Community Health Worker Certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire. Preferred Education: Associates degree in Health Education or related field Experience: 6 months of clinical experiences in a clinical environment. Bi-Lingual- Fluent in speaking and writing English /Spanish. Other Requirements: COVID vaccination is a requirement for all El Centro Family Health employees, on-site students and volunteers unless granted an exemption under applicable state or federal law. Tuberculin Skin Test (TST).
