The Linfield University Department of Music is seeking an adjunct instructor beginning in Fall 2023 semester, to teach undergraduate piano courses. Courses could include, but are not limited to: Applied Piano Lesson (Majors, Minors, and Non-Majors), Beginning Class Piano Keyboard Skills Classes. Music History Musicianship (Theory, Ear training, Sight-Singing, Basic Keyboard Skills) The candidate should also show familiarity with moveable Do Solfège and the Takadimi system of Rhythmic Solfège. Compensation will be determined by experience in the applied area. Courses will be taught on our McMinnville campus August 2023 through May 2024. Program and course information can be found at https://www.linfield.edu/programs/music/ Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in music performance, or related field Five or more years of experience teaching applied Music lessons Experience working with musicians of diverse backgrounds and all skill levels Preferred Qualifications: Earned Doctorate in Music Performance, or related field Familiarity with a variety of musical styles and genres Performance experience in contemporary music ensemble; if interest and experience align, you may be invited to perform with the Lacroute Collaborative Music Ensemble IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION: In order to create the healthiest face-to-face learning environment possible, Linfield University is requiring that all faculty, staff, and students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
