While performing the general duties of this position, you will be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to all staff, managing store operations through budgeting, purchasing, and personnel management, and maintaining and exceeding customer service and expectations while upholding and promoting the core values of McAneny Brothers, Inc. Essential duties of this position include: Manage all day-to-day activities to ensure successful store operation, including interviewing and hiring staff, scheduling, general personnel maintenance, training, performance reviews, and promoting positive company culture. Ensure excellent customer service, quality of goods, and active engagement of organizational values. Monitor sales activity across all departments to ensure compliance with company standards. Ensure all ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and display of merchandise are completed to company standards. Ensure a clean and safe work environment for all customers and staff. Ensure all safety procedures are in place and followed. Maintain all food safety standards in food preparation areas and general maintenance of all store equipment. Complete and control weekly and monthly store inventories to minimize expenses in accordance with company standards. Follow up with inventory discrepancies and reconcile any inconsistencies. Ensure department managers are assisting in employee engagement and promoting company culture, as well as doing their part in department inventories. Ensure all employees' hours are accurately entered and tracked in the company's time-management software. Resolve any discrepancies with employees' timecards. Ensure bi-weekly payroll is completed and submitted in a timely manner according to company standards. Ensure the safekeeping of all store keys, access codes, and security systems. Comply with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. All other duties as assigned. Work Environment: The general work environment for this position is located within a grocery store. You will spend about 60% of your time standing and 40% of your time sitting. You will be required to enter coolers, freezers, and meat, deli, and produce preparation areas. General Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory/managerial position, preferably in a retail setting. Associate's degree or two years of experience required. Current ServSafe certification, or the ability to acquire one within three months of employment required. Previous experience with Microsoft Office preferred. Other Considerations: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
