CLASSIFICATION: Retirement Funds Department Non-exempt / Full-time Salary Grade III EXPERIENCE & GENERAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree 3+ years experience in defined contribution fund recordkeeping and/or administration Organizational, prioritization, time management, customer service, mathematical, analytical, problem solving, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office, emphasis in Excel Certification preferred (NIPA, ASPPA or CEBS ) Knowledge of Taft-Hartley employee benefits plans JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The most significant responsibilities of this job classification are: Process election and withdrawal forms relating to the Defined Contribution Plans. Research and resolve distribution and payouts for missing participants. Research, resolve, and process annual and semi-annual small balance distributions. Answer participant questions (both written and verbal) regarding eligibility, benefits, and enrollment. Handle IRS reporting requirements, including 1099-R reporting. Resolve issues arising from overpayments and underpayments by employers and the administration of the auto-enrollment feature of Plan, including issues arising from late reporting of contributions. Other responsibilities as assigned by Management. NOTES: Background screening and educational verification will be conducted on individuals offered employment.
