The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview The Centre for Healthcare Innovation Evaluation team specializes in health services and community/population health research, focusing on problem-focused research. Research Associates work closely with decision makers in addressing research questions of priority to the healthcare system. Ongoing communication and negotiation with stakeholders is required. Duties include: Coordinating and undertaking research-related activities on a range of research, evaluation and knowledge translation projects undertaken by the Evaluation team. Providing leadership and coordinating specific projects, and responsibility areas. Collaborating on research and evaluation projects; including developing and strengthening decision-maker/researcher partnerships. Experience Skills in: Health economics. Critical review of economic evaluation literature. Statistical analysis. SAS, SPSS, STATA or other applied statistical programs. Experience and theoretical knowledge of Health services research specific to economic evaluation. Experience in using large administrative databases to answer research/evaluation questions. Experience in, and commitment to, effective knowledge translation strategies. Experience in working on collaborative research and/or evaluation projects required. Ability.
