New Hope Community, Inc., a Premiere Human Services Agency in the Hudson Valley supporting over 240 people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in residential and other settings currently has the following positions available: Quality Assurance Auditor The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for reviewing, developing, and performing internal audit procedures and preparing internal audit reports. SomeResponsibilities Include: • Conducts onsite audits in agency programs in areas related to but not limited to, fire safety, person centered practices, HIPAA, clinical practices and OPWDD regulations. • Writes reports outlining results of audits performed and manages result responses. • Maintains master copies of audits and audit response tracking. • Maintains record of systemic corrective actions for monitoring and reporting. • Acts as a liaison for OPWDD DQI audits as necessary.Requirements Include: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services preferred or related field • Must be knowledgeable in NYS OPWDD regulations • 3 Years’ related field experience Music Coordinator The Music Coordinator will coordinate music classes, create innovative projects, and maintain a stimulating environment by proving unique therapeutic opportunities.Some Responsibilities Include: • Create a strong curriculum base in music and creative arts. • Facilitate use of adaptive equipment and techniques in creating music. • Offer music classes, educational materials, mentoring, and innovative projects for day and evening programs, and all other agency programs. • Collaborate with community consultants and educational institutions to design new programs that explore new ideas in the area of music.Requirements Include: • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required. • Associate's/Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Maintenance Associate We are currently seeking Maintenance Associates to work in our Facilities Department. Candidates should have extensive experience in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrical, ventilation systems and grounds maintenance. High School Diploma/GED required. Horse Barn Assistant We are currently seeking a Horse Barn Assistant to provide support to our Therapeutic Riding Program as well as the Animal Assisted Growth and Wellness Program. A background and experience in animal care and/or husbandry is required. High School Diploma/GED required. Direct Support Professional Fulltime, Relief, Residential, Day Program, Evening & Overnight Positions Available! DSP’s are the people who work closest to the people we support and provide them with the motivation, instruction and guidance to accomplish their goals and achieve success and fulfillment in daily living. High School Diploma/GED required. No experience necessary!
