The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Section Head and/or Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the incumbent: Performs high quality mammograms, specimen images and breast wire needle localization procedures. Performs clinical breast examinations on all patients as well as teaching breast self-examinations to the patients. Books and organizes wire needle localization procedures as required by CAR Mammography Accreditation Program and follow up appointments as necessary. Teaches mammography and breast self-examinations (BSE) to x-ray students. Co-ordinate the quality control activities in the Mammography Department. Keeps accurate daily logs and collects monthly statistics Responsible for all Quality Assurance requirements in the Mammography Department Responsible for organizing and preparing the Mammography Rounds for Residents, Technologists and Students Experience Minimum 5 years recent experience at the Senior X Ray Technologist Mammography level required. Mammography and Needle Localization experience required. Familiarity with RIS and PACS preferred.
