General Laborer

Description:
We are looking for a capable and reliable general laborer to join our team. You'll take direction from the project foreman to help prepare job sites, load and unload construction materials, remove debris, assist team members, and perform any other general labor needed to get the job done right. You should be great at following instructions, with a can-do attitude. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred but require. Knowledge of basic engineering and construction laborer methods is preferred, but we will provide training. Some experience using construction equipment, forklift, hand tools, and power tools highly preferred. Important to be able to work independently and with a team, take direction and follow-through. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination, good balance, and have the physical strength to be able to do the work. Ability to shovel, rake, and carry. Experience with forms, concrete and underground pipe Strong interest in construction and willingness to work hard and learn. Basic knowledge of construction, usage of a measuring tape, hand tools and basic power tools Must be precise and pay attention to detail; follow a set standard and rules at work. Have stamina, motivation and positive attitude. General Duties: Cleaning and preparing construction sites. Loading and unloading materials and equipment. Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures. Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes. Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment. Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans. Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties. Under direct or limited supervision, must be able to perform tasks as clean up, routine maintenance of equipment, concrete form work, installation of millwork and doors, layout of walls, metal stud framing and perform other duties as assigned by the project superintendent, field engineer or foreman. Position Requirements Physical requirements: To perform the essential functions of the job, General Craft Workers must be able to climb, kneel, lift up to 90 pounds, have a good sense of balance and exert force to move objects constantly.
