Supply Chain Analyst

Description:
Position Summary Conducts daily Supply Chain, Sourcing, and/or Logistics activities for assigned categories, which may include raw material, finished goods (FNG), indirect material, services, and/or logistics. Primary responsibilities are the execution of purchasing activity, inventory planning, supplier management, and reporting tools to meet service, quality, and productivity goals. Contributes to the continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes and support systems (ERP). Work will be a mix of daily responsibilities and project work. Key Responsibilities Lead inventory improvement process, working with Sales, Marketing, Planning and DC Operations to reduce slow and obsolete inventories Actively participates in ERP implementation Develop expertise in ERP Supply Chain processes and functionalities Prepare and analyze monthly inventory and purchase variance reports as directed Learn the buying/planning function for Raw material, FNG items, Indirect, stock, and drop-ship utilizing various Mactac methods in order to serve as a backup Become proficient with all pertinent logistics terminology (BOL, Carrier class, FOB, TMS, etc.) Conduct detailed historical analyses and summarize findings as directed Support Supply Chain functions on additional projects as directed Scope: Decision Impact: Department Department Responsibility: Supply Chain Budgetary (P&L) Responsibility: No Direct Reports: No Indirect Reports: No Physical Requirements: If Applicable Management Responsibilities Level: Individual Contributor / Mid -Level Location: Stow, OH (Close to Akron, OH & Cleveland, OH) Travel: up to 15% Selection Criteria: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Supply Chain or technical-related discipline (math, etc.) or equivalent experience. Experience: Industry experience not required Greater than 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Analyst roles Basic knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning, and purchasing Advanced Microsoft Office suite experience required JD Edwards or similar ERP experience preferred ERP Implementation experience preferred Strong problem solving and analytical skills Other: Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
