Description:
Job duties include preparing lesson plans and demonstrating cooking techniques. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, time management, attention to detail, and organization skills. They should also have an innate passion for teaching and culinary arts. Soft skills of physical stamina, comprehension and have knowledge about nutritional science. Culinary teachers provide training for individuals who want to pursue careers in the culinary arts. Usually, through both lecture coursework and hands-on kitchen training, culinary teachers educate students on the theory and practice of food preparation. Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. Adhere to safety procedures. Gather materials and cooking apparatuses. Build successful relationships with student populations. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines. Ability to learn from students' participation, to demonstrate fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and to show compassion without being ineffectual. Qualification: Licensed in State on Tennessee in Culinary Arts A positive attitude and a willingness to provide exceptional service and to act as a leader in all culinary activities.
