The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Chief Technologist, Laboratory Scientist and/or Medical Director, the incumbent performs a variety of technical duties that support research, method development, and quality improvement projects at Cadham Provincial Laboratory. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of new laboratory methods, organizes and maintains data in a manner consistent with research principles, and provides technical support and training to laboratory staff. The incumbent assists with the preparation of documents, such as operating procedures, verification/validation reports, research ethics board submissions, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications. Experience Minimum of three years of recent related experience required with demonstrated expertise in research methods essential. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Ph. D. in biology, microbiology, genetics, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from a recognized University, required. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of laboratory technique and theory essential. Knowledge of biology, microbiology, and/or genetics essential.
