This is a LOCUM opportunity with a Hospital setting, for a minimum of 3 months with likely extension. The selected candidate will work full-time Monday – Friday. Job Purpose: Band 7 Pharmacist Pay Rate: £30 LTD p/h + £250 WELCOME BONUSLocation: HMP Bedford Healthcare Department Central, Bedfordshire Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs Key Responsibilities: Maintain and improve standards of clinical shop practice, quality assurance, risk management and other issues of clinical governance related to medicines optimisation. To lead, develop, deliver, and evaluate shop and medicine optimisation services on behalf of CNWL to HMP Bedford. Lead, develop and manage the shop team, alongside the Health and Justice Lead Pharmacist. To lead and deliver as appropriate a comprehensive medicines optimisation service to residing patients and to the MDT teams responsible for their care. To manage the cost-effective ordering of medicines and medical consumables as well as shop staff resources. To ensure service compliance with medicines legislation in particular controlled drugs legislation. To be responsible for updating and maintaining actions plans in relation to aspect of medicines management under the control of the shop service. To provide data for KPIs set by the commissioner and the CQC 'Provider Compliance backssments' in relation to medicines optimisation. They will be responsible for putting actions in place to address any shortfalls. To manage the Medicines Optimisation Group. To liaise with the external shop provider to ensure appropriate and safe delivery of medicines. Requirements:. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
