Electromechanical Technician II

Starting rate of pay will be $34 - $40 per hour +/- DOE!Shift will be 5pm to 5amThis position is responsible for maintaining electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment. (S)he will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and implementing corrective and preventative measures.Essential Duties:Repair and maintain a variety of equipment and perform preventative maintenance on distribution center and/or manufacturing equipmentUse diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot, analyze and predict upcoming failuresDismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areasOperate metalworking machines such as bench lathes, milling machines, punch presses, and drive presses to fabricate housings, fittings, jogs and fixturesInspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problemsRemove and/or replace worn or defective partsOther duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED Preferred2+ years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience or experience in a related fieldA minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, and a demonstrated proficiency repairing conveyor systems preferredExperience with low and high voltage electrical systemsDemonstrated understanding of operating principles of frequency drives, servos, electrical and PLCsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLCs, I/O and VFDsMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.Must be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.Physical Demands:Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 poundsFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsRegularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsRegularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawlCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
