Glaucoma / Cataract Surgeon with a Private Practice in the North Austin Texas Area Job Type: Ophthalmologist Subspecialty: Glaucoma preferred Practice Location: Killeen, TX Population: 160,000 MD Or Corporate Owned: MD - private Reason for Job Opening: Retiring MD If Physician is retiring, how much longer will Physician Work: 5/31/2024 Experience Requirement: Open Partnership Opportunity: Potential after 2 years Target Compensation: MD $275-$325K – Year 1 Bonus Opportunity: Yes; Dry Eye Retirement Program: 401K match Other Benefits: Health care and other various benefits through ADP Totalsource. Practice will cover costs of: Malpractice insurance, Texas License Fees, DEA, DPS, hospital staff fees, credentialling fees, up to $3,000 ($2,000/OD) year for CME Relocation: $5,000 Vacation/PTO: 3 weeks + 3 CME days in first 12 months, 4 weeks + 3 CME days after year 1 Target Start Date: ASAP Practice Management: AdvancedMD Current patient volume: 35 per day Estimated Surg Volume for this role: 350 year one, huge growth potential in growing market. Est. 1,000 by year 4 Support Staff: 3 techs, scribe, SX coordinator Hospital Call: No hospital, but shared on call schedule for practice MDs on Staff: 5 ODs on Staff: 1 Partners: 0 OD Network: Yes OD – patient per day expectation: 30 Refractive Surgery - Lasik: Yes Laser - O.R.: Not now – potential (Laser at every other location) Hospital Affiliation: Advent Health ASC: No current ASC, potential Office Based Cataract Suite
