Description:
Job Description: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company's accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analysis, and budget vs. actuals. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings. Assist with external audits and provide support to auditors as needed. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Provide support to the finance team and other departments as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
