Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, Subspecialty Critical Care, and the direction of the Registered Respiratory Therapist, while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Grace Hospital. The Respiratory Therapy Assistant – Student is responsible for assisting the Respiratory Therapist in a non-clinical fashion to provide respiratory care to patients at Grace Hospital. Experience Previous related experience working with Respiratory Therapy Equipment and/or in the general field of respiratory therapy preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Manitoba High School Diploma (or equivalent). Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year student and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (Preference will be given to students of the Max Rady Faculty of Health Science: Respiratory Therapy Program students). SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS: On-the-job training (up to 6 months) is provided by the Respiratory Therapy Department. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Basic computer and keyboarding skills are required.
