The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Summary: Reporting to the Director Health Services and/or Client Services Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse is responsible for the following five areas of clinical practice: 1) maintaining and improving the quality of people centered care 2) assisting with teaching nursing staff, 3) mentoring/coaching nursing staff 4) developing and implementing best practice and 5) involvement with research as appropriate as well as performing other related duties as assigned. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health‐Santé Sud. Qualifications: • Registered Nurse with current active registration with CRNM and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) • Current BCLS • Additional certification specific to clinical area of responsibility such as TNCC; completion of recognized ACLS course; current BCLS certification; Fetal monitoring experience; completion of NRP as required for the specific unit • Completion of Manitoba.
