The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview The Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre embraces the goal of Jordan’s Principle to ensure that all children and youth have access to the health services they need in a timely manner. This Mental Health Clinician position will focus on providing virtual and in person mental health service to children, adolescents and their families in First Nations communities to support this initiative. This position is based in Winnipeg with some travel required to First Nations communities throughout Manitoba. The Mental Health Clinician will build collegial relationships with service providers in the communities that will support capacity building in the area of child and adolescent mental health with a focus on completing backssments, developing/implementing treatment plans, providing case management support and along with follow-up support for those individuals returning to their community. The Mental Health Clinician will work in collaboration with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nursing station staff, community service providers, clients and their families.
