Summary Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a team, and drive meaningful change for folks in your community? If so, MFCC is the place for you! Milton Family Community Center is looking for a cheerful and flexible center float teacher to help out across our programs as needed, primarily supporting one of our four early childcare classrooms, with the possibility of supporting front desk reception for our food shelf, or preparing early childcare program meals. We need someone who enjoys making life easier for other people, gets a kick out of the silliness of young children and is willing to step in wherever they are needed. While each day will be different, a main responsibility of this role will be planning and preparing meals for our early childcare program, and substituting in early childhood classrooms. Duties Assisting in three different classrooms during the middle of the day so teachers can have breaksBuilding good relationships with students so that you become a well-known substitute in each of our classroomsMeal prep ahead of breakfast, lunch and or snacks served at the centerGeneral help with classroom organization and cleaningFront receptionist duties, i.e. - answering the phone; greeting and helping food shelf participants Requirements Must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma/GEDMust complete the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals' course or a 3 credit college course in human services or early education within the first 12 months on the job.Previous experience working with children under 5 in as a teacher, counselor, nanny or babysitter. Nice To Haves Flexible scheduleDesire to work longer hours upon occasion as a substitute Benefits Compensation is based upon education and experience, with a starting range of $17-19 per hour.Health insurance and additional benefits package is available to those working over 30 hours per week. MFCC covers the monthly premium of an individual's plan for Health Insurance, and 50% of the individual plan for Dental and Vision plans.
