Your Role: As a Senior State Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver profitable growth across multiple states through mutually beneficial relationships with clubs (our primary distribution partners) and key internal partnerships. You will own the Personal Lines P&L for your region and engage stakeholders to accomplish strategic objectives including the successful roll out of new products, countrywide initiatives, and accurate pricing. Your work: Lead a team of analyst(s), Market Growth Consultant(s), and Product Specialist that is empowered and accountableDrive strategy and advocate for state specific needs, partnering on rate and non-rate action to address indication, gain strategic alignment, and ensure complianceDevelop budget as well as build and implement strategy to achieve budget and serve the membership for all personal lines products (including new products)Be the voice of the results both internally and externallyOwn mutually beneficial, productive club relationships - including product feedback loopPartner cross functionally to deliver competitive and profitable products, as well as launch new productsProactively build relationships with DOIs and create productive lines of communication to ensure successful product filings that are in line with DOI requirementsSome travel required for high impact, relationship building opportunities with partners Required Experience, Education and Skills Bachelor's degree in related area (Marketing, business, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years of increasingly responsible product management experience3 - 5 years Experience leading Product Management Teams-People leadership and actively shaping company cultureAbility to use data to encourage actionProduct management for medium to large business accountsEngage, influence, and leverage resources across the broader organization to drive desired vision and outcomesStrong business acumenConsultative and solution-oriented approach, creative problem solvingGood oral and written communication skills with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences (including internal and external senior executives)Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detailSolid knowledge of P&C insurance products, pricing, marketplace and product management, with understanding of product P&L, drivers of growth and profitabilityAbility to drive collaboration and teamwork with other functions and external partners at the executive and management levelsStrong negotiation skills and the ability to influence seasoned and senior-level internal and external partiesAdvanced research, statistical, analytical, processing, and mathematical skills with ability to lead teams that structure and conduct analysesKnowledge of and proficiency in change management concepts and practices What would make us excited about you? The national average salary range for this position is $151,000-$168,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,000 - $201,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 20% of eligible pay.If you apply and are selected to continue in the recruiting process, we will schedule a preliminary call with you to discuss the role and will disclose during that call the available salary/hourly rate range based on your location.
