Position Overview Under the general direction of the Physical Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs, maintenance and installation functions on all types of laundry equipment, with the main focus being on electrical/electronics. Responsible for responding to emergency calls, setting priorities and making repairs as required. Performs and documents preventative maintenance as required. Experience Must have a minimum of five years previous electrical, electronic and mechanical experience in the industrial maintenance field. Experience in a production environment involving production equipment and building maintenance preferred. Experience working in a Millwright and/or Power Engineering capacity preferred. Experience in the maintenance of laundry equipment an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required. Must be qualified as a Journeyman Electrician. Additional education and/or training in industrial electrical/electronics, as recognized by the Centre, preferred. Certification/Licensure/Registration Valid Journeyman Electrician License required. Current and valid Manitoba drivers license required.
