Description:
Seeking a Trailer Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Apopka, FL. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k! Pay is between $18 - $30 per hour (based on experience) Overtime pay/bonus available! The mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on Dry Van Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, and Reefer Trailers. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and filter replacements on Dry Van Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, and Reefer Trailers. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of trailers. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address any safety concerns or potential issues that may affect the performance and reliability of the trailers. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Collaborate with the Parts Department to order necessary parts and ensure the availability of required supplies to complete repairs in a timely manner. Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to understand and address their concerns or issues regarding the trailers. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably working on Dry Van Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, and Reefer Trailers. Proficient in using various hand and power tools necessary for trailer repairs and maintenance. Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to trailer maintenance and repair.
