Warehouse Associate 1st shift

POSITION SUMMARY Warehouse Associates will perform various activities such as receiving, sorting, loading, unloading, and shipping products. They will organize stock, maintain inventory, process, pack, and ship orders. Keen attention to detail is a must . ESSENTIAL DUTIES Does not encompass all duties. Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in product. Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or other predetermined orders - for example, type, size, color, etc. Pull customer orders from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets. Pack and prepare orders for shipping using common carriers; check packing lists . Record amounts of items received or distributed in computerized inventory control system. Conduct cycle counts. Ability to operate a forklift desirable but not required . Use company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries as necessary. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment . Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Excellent communication and customer service skills . Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists and/or shipping lists . Basic computer skills such as data entry and using Microsoft Office products. Ability to work effectively in a team environment . Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control is a plus . Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems is a plus . Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR driving check. Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience . Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems experience desirable but not required .
