Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager of Configuration and Data Management Analysis to support our Armament Systems Business Unit located in Mesa, AZ *Role Description:* This position is a leadership role in the Medium Caliber Gun Systems Business Unit within Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. As a leader in Guns Engineering, the Configuration Management Manager leads and manages a team that is responsible for the configuration management, data management and technical writing functions. *Location*: This position requires on-site support. Selected candidate will need to be within commuting distance to our site in Mesa, AZ. Relocation assistance is available if selected candidate is not local *Responsibilities:** Lead and manage the configuration management, data management, and technical writing functions at the Mesa site * Sets role and performance expectations, provides feedback, coaching, training and growth opportunities for direct reports * Successfully manages assignments and forecasts future demand such that the functions are appropriately staffed and have the correct skill sets * Provides guidance to staff on interpretation of operating procedures and process document * Provide technical guidance in the areas of configuration management, data management and technical writing * Assists the engineering department leader in preparation and execution of department budgets * Leads and coordinates continuous improvement projects*Position Requirements:* This position emphasizes skills first* Must have 10 years of Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) experience. Will consider a bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or a master's degree with 4 years of experience. * Prior management experience is highly desired * Demonstrated Experience is technical writing * Familiarity with USG / DoD processes and requirements involving configuration management, data management and service manuals * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and system description documents * Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through understanding and management of internal processes and customer/supplier relationships. * Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities * Demonstrated experience in making sound decision in uncertain and difficult situations * Demonstrated experience working with customers to ensure project success. * U.S. Citizenship * Position may require domestic and international travel,
