Annualized Base Compensation Based on Experience : $75,070 - $140,976 What is Essential about Being a Teacher at Our School The Bishop’s School seeks engaging, collaborative, dynamic, and learner-centered teachers. Position Summary Description The Bishop’s School seeks a full-time English teacher for the fall 2024 semester beginning August 1, 2024 and ending January 7, 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school English and a strong foundation in curriculum development and writing instruction. We seek candidates who are flexible, creative, and collaborative. An Ideal Candidate Will Have A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in English or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred; Experience teaching and/or working with high school students; Unequivocal passion for working with adolescents and supporting them in all facets of their lives; Demonstrated commitment to and competency in diversity, equity, inclusion and justice; Ability to integrate technology into instruction; Eagerness to collaborate with other department and grade-level team members in creating meaningful, relevant, learner-centered classroom experiences; Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and the community; Strong work ethic, as well as time management, verbal, written language, and interpersonal skills; Irrespective of own religious orientation, the ability to support the School’s mission and values as a school founded in the Episcopal tradition; Commitment to well-being as the foundation for growth.
