Position: Service Mechanic Job Location: North Branch, MN Compensation: $20-$30/hour Work Schedule: Mon-Thurs Job Details: Analyze operation of systems and components of Stepp Mfg. asphalt maintenance equipment to determine performance Inspect mechanical and electrical systems; diagnose and repair systems Disassemble systems, examine parts for defects and excessive wear Repair or replace defective parts, adjust settings, and reassemble according to specifications Operate electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment, and cranes and hoists Weld and fabricate parts as needed Collaborate with team members and higher-level personnel to determine the best course of action and ensure customer’s needs are satisfied Be willing to travel for on-site repairs as necessary Keep the work area clean and organized Actively participate in the Company’s continuous improvement efforts by identifying and communicating basic process improvements. Ensure on time deliveries Ability and willingness to cross-train and fill-in where needed Applicant Requirements: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical functions Ability to repair or replace defective parts, adjust settings, and reassemble according to specifications Operate overhead cranes and forklifts Gripping with hands/fingers, reaching, fine dexterity and motor skills for efficient and regular use of basic hand and power tools and assembly of small component parts. Remaining alert to surroundings, specifically when operating equipment and/or machinery. Ability to problem solve and make decisions to resolve the customer’s issues Use of logic and understanding to draw conclusions from relevant or missing information Attention to detail and concentration towards task at hand. Requires repetitious and sustained postures alternating between crouching, kneeling, bending, standing for extended periods of time 2-year degree in Automotive or Diesel Technology or combination of training and experience that provides equivalent skills, knowledge and abilities Must be 18 years of age or older How to apply: Contact Express Employment Professionals at 651.464.XXXX or stop into our office at 1500 S.
