Position Summary: As a Production Manager (in-office), you will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role will involve leading and developing a team of dedicated Memory Makers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other departments to optimize processes and achieve organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Creates and advocates the future vision of the Production department. Plans, sets, and achieves Production department goals that align with the overall goals of Crystal D Leads from the front, by example. Manage and organize the production workforce to ensure that 100% of the work orders are produced on time, with the highest possible quality at lowest cost Strategically manages the Production Flow to ensure 100% on time delivery of with the highest possible quality at lowest cost. Optimize systems and processes to ensure the 100% of the work orders are produced on time, with the highest possible quality: Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently and diplomatically orally and in writing in the English language; also to maintain excellent interpersonal and cooperative working relationships with management, staff and clients. Ability to exhibit desirable and appropriate managerial behavior including integrity, ability to get along with others, team playing, industriousness, leadership, supportive communication, sense of urgency and confidentiality and independent judgment to provide for a cohesive working environment dedicated to achieving the organization’s goals. Ability to work effectively and respectfully with staff, managers, executives and others with a variety of working styles to achieve accountability and results using authority and influence sensitively to garner cooperation. Performs other work as assigned Direction and oversight of others: Production department personnel Management Competencies Selection- Understands the importance of finding and retaining the right people in each position and can select the right candidate. Training- Can develop and carryout effective training programs that will provide employees with the skill and information they need to perform their jobs successfully. Management - Gets things done by efficiently managing all resources provided to reach the goals of the department and company. Leadership - Leads people and provides the environment and influence that will cause success in any situation. Correction and Redirection- Knows how to correct performance so that performance is changed. Performance Evaluation- Can value and define performance against standards objectively. Employee development- Knows how to follow a plan to improve performance and prepare people in their career development. Termination- Knows how to document employee performance, and construct a case leading to correct termination decisions. Planning- Knows how set business goals and create steps that achieve them. Strategic Thinking- Can see the big picture and understands how the pieces of the organization fit together. Understands Crystal D as a “brand". Qualification and Skill Requirements: Prior Experience :This position requires more than 2 years and less than or equal to 5 years in a management position in a production environment. Knowledge Requirements To be effective, this position requires specific knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and processes. Requires broad knowledge in a vocational field or trade. General education level required is the result of a Two Year College Degree or equivalent of a business curriculum that provides a sound understanding of business principles. Completed required reading of books and articles required by Crystal D for all managers. Completed required management training provided by Crystal D. Understand, communicate and use the Production Competencies and Terminology listed below. Certifications or required class attendance. Other training as determined by Crystal D to be successful at this position. Lean training.
