What you’ll do: We are seeking a project champion to help plan and execute programs to empower researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs to improve the potential success of their ideas and commercialize new ventures. This person should be well versed in running programs and be both operations and people focused. Typical work includes: Support multi-tiered entrepreneurship education and coaching programs that have a major impact on the success of commercializing research and innovation within the government labs and other organizations Manage project plans, stay extremely organized and focused on details of program execution Design and develop presentations, reports and content using ppt and other creative software (beautiful.ai, canva, etc.) Execute the backend of workshops, webinars, and ecosystem (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Hivebrite, Gatheround, etc.) Manage client engagements, calls/meetings to include set up, taking minutes, and managing follow-ups Successful Candidates will have the following qualifications: Master’s Degree with 2+ years or bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in relevant industries including entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial support organizations, innovation/incubator/studio/accelerator programs, management consulting. Innovation experience related to DOD/Navy or technology transfer is a plus. Extremely strong program management skills, including relevant software tools (e.g., excel, asana, forecast, ppt, airtable, etc.) PMP, Six Sigma, or Scrum certifications are a plus Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse set of people. Existing network of innovation leaders and organizations in the Southern California region and internationally (preferred) Strong experience with the needs of early-stage technology-oriented ventures and/or innovation at large organizations. Expert-level communication (oral and written) skills with ability to present to multiple audiences. Join us. Location: We are looking for candidates from the Southern California region. This will involve a hybrid work arrangement, requiring travel up to 20%. Compensation: Base salary range: $70,000-$90,000 Ability to earn upside bonus and equity, rapid career progression A competitive benefits package including 401K with employer match, health/dental/vision plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield, flexible PTO, employer paid disability insurance, parental leave, transportation, wellness reimbursements, flexible work arrangements, amongst others. Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically is required (-20%). Please note that this role requires transportation/travel, and you will need to have a personal vehicle. Additionally, all reimbursable local travel must be approved by the manager.
