Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Driver - Rigger to join our team. As a CDL Driver - Rigger, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle as well as maintaining and rigging equipment. Your main focus will be on transporting heavy machinery and equipment to various job sites, ensuring the safety of the equipment and those around you. Responsibilities * Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations * Load, unload, and transport heavy machinery and equipment to job sites * Inspect and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment * Secure and stabilize loads using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment * Communicate with customers and colleagues regarding transportation schedules and requirements * Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records of transport activities * Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to equipment * Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts. * Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. * Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation. * Repair and lubricate machines and equipment. * Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools. * Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures. * Ability to stick and MIG weld. Requirements * Valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record * Minimum of [number] years of experience as a CDL Driver * Knowledge of local, state, and federal transportation regulations * Strong understanding of rigging techniques and equipment * Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various weather conditions * Attention to detail and a commitment to safety * [Additional requirements specific to your company or industry]
