Our firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney who is adept at handling a large caseload and familiar with all aspects of the trial process, particularly drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and working toward a resolution. Responsibilities: • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions• Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels• Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings• Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients• Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses• The Senior Attorney shall perform legal services including legal research; drafting agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery, documents provided by parties, etc.• The Senior Attorney shall appear on behalf of and advocate for clients as necessary• The Senior Attorney may also conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the Firm and its clients• When delegated by the Partners, the Senior Attorney may prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements Qualifications: • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations• Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills• Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration• Work independently while handling a heavy caseload Compensation: $150,000 yearly About Company: KEW Legal is a law firm servicing entrepreneurs and investors as their legal and consulting department.
