Job Title: Physician ( Medical Director or Clinician) Reports: Medical Director, DCOH Overview/ Job Purpuse: The Physician will be responsible for performing clinical occupational services, to include workers compensation care, fitness for duty, medical surveillance examinations, and wellness activities, helping to maintain a positive culture with in our organization, and for other administrative, duties as designated by the Duke City Occupational Healthcare (DCOH) Medical Director. Summary of Primary Duties: As an MD/OD your duties may include, but are not limited to the categories, and associated items listed below: Primary Job Functions: Practice medicine using sound medical judgement and adhere to all ethical consideration of the practice of medicine; know limitations and consult when advisable. Meet all clinical obligations of medical practice: accrediting agency compliance, CLIAcompliance, prescriptions compliance, HIPAA, etc. Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to department guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processin/ documentation including laboratory, radiology, and patient transfer follow up See patient in a timely manner Document appropriately and hold oneself accountable for his/her actions with regard to proper coding and charing for all services rendered including accuracy and providing care to patients Administrative Relations: Demonstrate on-going support and respect for administration in all communications, either privately with staff or in a group setting Use effective time management to complete DCOH related activities Adhere to administrative policies and provide constructive feedback when appropriate Serve as a role model and help educate fellow team members when time permits and circumstances are appropriate Provide feedback to the Clinical Manager or DCOH Medical Director who serves as the clinician's asministrative voices regarding " internal practice management issues" including, but not linmited to , personnel issues, administrative decisions and creation of operational policies and pricedures Create, adhere to, and promote a positive work environment based on teamwork
