THE CITY OF FREEPORT IS NOW HIRING FIREFIGHTERS!! Candidates must be 21 to under 35 years of age, unless exempt by state statute U.S. Citizen Valid Driver's License High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) Valid C-Pat required at time of oral interview Entry Level Firefighters: $51,812.80 Entry Level Paramedics: $55,450.72Benefits include: Salary, Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Flex Spending Plan, PEHP Plan, Paid Vacation, Pension after retirement and numerous opportunities to advance up the ranks as a career Firefighter. A mandatory orientation and written exam are required - you will be notified once your application has been accepted. Once a candidate is notified of an opening and has successfully completed all tests and examinations they may be required to attend a Firefighter Basic Training Academy.
