Job Quick Facts: --- Specialty: Podiatry --- Job Type: Locum Tenens --- Facility Location: Fullerton, CA --- Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient --- Reason For Coverage: Supplemental --- Coverage Period: Apr 1 - Sept 1, 2024 --- Coverage Type: Clinical Call --- Shift Schedule: Mon, Thu, Fri; 8a-5p - FT need/3-4 days; Tue: TBD --- Call Schedule: 1 in 4 weeks --- Call Coverage: Ortho on-call triages --- Call Type: Beeper --- Call Ratio: 1:4 --- Call Response Time: 20 mins --- Patient Volume: 20-26 (4 IP) --- Patient Demographics: Adults only --- Admissions: 2 --- Surgeries per day: 2 --- % of Practice: OP 80%, IP 20%; Trauma 15% --- Physicians in Practice: 12; 7 Mid levels - Orthopedic Surg --- Support Staff: 7 NP/PAs, 1 Podiatry RN, 1 MA, 2 Office Staff --- Case Mix: Toe deformities/foot deformities --- Duties: - Usually the calls that come through are picked up by the orthopedist and then they decide if it should be routed to the podiatrist to handle; Calls/call back can vary. --- Required Procedures: - General Orthopedics: Surgical & Non-Surgical - Others: Excluding hips and knees --- Office Equipment: - X-ray facilities, cast room, own ortho DME closet. --- No. of Beds: 340 --- No. of Exam Rooms: 3 --- Trauma Level: III --- EMR: Epic --- Other Info: - Required to supervise Podiatry RN in clinic. - Anything that is larger bone or above the ankle will more than likely go to one of the other 10 ortho providers. --- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes --- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
