The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, advising clients on various tax aspects, including mergers and acquisitions, private investment fund formations and investments, and tax structuring-related work.Duties:Provide expert advice to clients on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.Assist in structuring private investment fund formations and investments from a tax perspective.Collaborate with colleagues on complex U.S. and international tax law matters.Research tax laws, regulations, and rulings to provide accurate and up-to-date advice.Draft legal documents, including memoranda, opinions, and transactional documents related to tax matters.Requirements:Outstanding academic credentials, preferably with a focus on tax law.Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a law firm environment on complex U.S. and international tax law matters.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.LL.M. in Taxation preferred.Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.Skills:Strong understanding of transactional tax concepts and principles.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex tax issues.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.LL.M. in Taxation preferred.Certifications:Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
