Practice Area: Immigration - General,Other, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Immigration or International Human Rights Lawyer committed to safeguarding fundamental human rights. The role involves advocacy before international bodies such as the U.N. Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, U.S. federal and immigration courts, and Executive Branch agencies. The successful candidate will provide critical support to Partners, conduct research, develop case narratives, and engage regularly with clients. Duties:Advocacy before international human rights bodies, U.S. federal and immigration courts, and Executive Branch agenciesConducting legal research and writingDeveloping case narratives and theoriesRegular interaction with clientsMeeting 100% hard (government) deadlinesBalancing commitment to pro bono work with paying clientsEnsuring quality control in all filingsReceiving positive feedback from clients and colleaguesMaintaining a positive attitude during change and unexpected circumstancesExpanding the Firm’s client base and reputationFollowing objectives in individualized marketing planPromoting the Firm and self through marketing and networking effortsExemplifying the Firm’s values Requirements:J.D. degree4+ years of experience in international and/or immigration law Preferred:Foreign language skills, especially Spanish Skills:Strong commitment to safeguarding fundamental human rightsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyProficiency in legal research and writingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTime management and organizational abilitiesPositive attitude and adaptability to change Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
