Process Quality Engineer

Description:
Job Duties: Lead Quality Team, with focus on improving site yield, predicting potential raw material shifts, analyzing finished products, and mentoring Technicians. Drive site transformational efforts through risk adjusted economics, engineering controls, and best practices. Display proficiency in Textile and Fiber Manufacturing and understand the molecular composition of polymers and constituents. Evaluate and optimize production equipment for improving efficiency. Perform experimental designs (DOE) and modeling for process and equipment optimization. Work with the team to develop and execute migration plans for legacy equipment and control system platforms. Develop process and control parameters for operational continuity. Utilize statistical process control methodologies. Identify new process technologies/ engineering controls that can be leveraged for operational improvements. Plan, launch, and monitor continuous improvement projects consistent with the sites vision. Communicate and work with various operational, environmental, maintenance, and engineering levels in a team environment. Work with team to maintain commercial awareness and develop strategies to improve product development based on customer focus. Understand current resource systems (i.e., Pi Vision, Power BI, Seeq) for identifying key process indicators/ metrics and effectively communicate associated trends to internal customers. Perform process analysis and urgently drive efforts for predicative and preventive process measures. Minimum Requirements: Employer requires a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Textile Manufacturing, Fiber and Polymer Science, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in Product Design. Of the required experience, must have: - 2 years of experience working with Polymer Science; - 2 years of experience in Textile or Nylon Manufacturing; - 2 years of experience in Quality Control of raw materials and finished goods; and - 2 years of experience in experimental designs for manufacturing and process improvements.
