Windsor Windows and Doors has an immediate opening for a purchasing buyer to join our team This is an hourly position, which is responsible for the procurement, logistics, and proper inventory levels of all items assigned. This responsibility includes maintaining the system information, cost adjustments,month:end reports (PPV's Safety Stock levels, Suppliers Report Cards) and strong supplier relations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: :Timely procurement and proper logistics of all products assigned.:Maintaining proper inventory levels for assigned products.:Negotiating the lowest total cost for all assigned products, (within their control):Cultivating and maintaining good communication between Windsor Windows and its supply base: Presenting a professional appearance to the supply base Knowledge/Skills: :2 year degree in Business Admin, finance, accounting, engineering or logistics : preferred :And/or 2 years experience of purchasing for a manufacturing concern, or any combination of secondary education/experience for a total of 5 years.:Strong attention to detail, and ability to problem solve indenpendently or within a group setting.:Working knowledge of SAP preferred, Lean Manufacturing experience is helpful Equal opportunity employment Competitive compensation and benefits Pre:employment drug screen and background check required
