Description: R esponsible for the safe and legal handling of raw materials and finished goods . Ensures that production line s are supplied with raw materials needed during a production run and remaining materials are returned to the storage warehouse in a manner that adheres to SnackCraft 's storage procedures. Pay: $18-$21 per hour depending on experience Department: Production and Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Education and Experience: High School Diploma/ GED Hilo Certification (OSHA) Work Hours: 1st Shift: 7am-3:20pm Work Environment: This job operates in a food production and warehouse setting . The floor surface is concrete. The noise level is moderate with no vibration. Material movement takes place throughout the facility. Core Responsibilities: Be the example in following GMPs, OSHA Safety, and all other procedures. Provid es production with correct packaging materials , pallets, ingredients , and film Wrap s , tag s , and transpor ts finished goods from the production area to the warehouse or designated staging location T ransporting materials to different locations within the facility. Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. Securing loads to the machine before transportation. Inspecting for damages to vehicles. Operating and managing technical equipment. Identifying workplace safety hazards. Adhering to safety management standards. Adhering to production schedules. Uses FEFO (First Expired First Out) when pulling raw materials from storage to production lines Uses FIFO (First In First Out) when storing finishe d product Plac es raw materials in a designated staging area for review by the warehouse supervisor prior to returning to stock Check s the o verrun area before each new run to see if there is product that can be rewrapped Maintains good h ousekeeping practices , including consolidati ng of warehouse locations Adher es to SnackCraft 's allergen control program and avoids cross contamination Proper ly handl es , stor es , and distribut es raw materials, finished good s, allergens , and identity claimed materials Adher es to all SnackCraft 's programs, policies, and procedures Physical Demands: Hearing and speaking to exchange information. Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects as assigned by position (up to 50lbs). Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment. Reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally. Bending at the waist, kneeling, sitting, or crouching Will require sitting for long periods of time Competencies: Comprehensive in practices, procedures and techniques involved in food manufacturing Uses proper lifting techniques Comprehensive in general mathematic calculations Comprehensive in record-keeping procedures Effective communication in English language At-Will Employer: All employees of SnackCraft are employees' at-will and, as such, are free to resign at any time without reason .
